Program Description

This specialized program in Strategic Management and Leadership introduces the fundamentals of developing tools needed to analyze business situations, achieve organizational visions, and effectively lead people, teams, and organizations. Additionally, this series of sessions shall help learners to build a theoretical framework for leadership, in order to be capable of developing and applying strategies aiming at immediate influence. The program covers different topics, such as strategic management, human resources, leadership, etc. for sole proprietorships and/or different organizations/companies. By the end of the program, learners shall be able to prepare a capstone management and leadership plan where they could apply all learned concepts to a business situation.

Instructor Biography

Joseph Nabil Makkar holds an MBA from the USA, a Human Resources major. He obtained a Human Resources Developer (PHR) certificate from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) in the USA. He is also an International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) International Exchange alumni, USA. Mr. Makkar is a certified trainer from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) specialized in strategic planning, project management and finance, and result-based management. Additionally, he is a certified trainer from Gallup University specialized in administrative leadership analysis. Mr. Makkar is now working on Learning and Development, which is his passion. His practical experience revolves around institutional management and development, human resources and talent management, business planning and development, training, business consultation, leading and coaching, and entrepreneurship. He takes initiative to transfer the knowledge required to build skills necessary for building expertise and changing attitudes in several institutions.
